History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
For over a thousand years (as of 1105), Esy Unde has been a colony of some sort of Rim Unity, originally named Esy Ove. After the passing of the Empress Wave, this control relaxed somewhat; as of 1105 it still holds a few die-hard prisoners sentenced to life (who survived the Empress Wave back in 1056), but the guards have been transferred out and no new prisoners are being transferred in.
Officially, any prisoners who can talk a passing ship into taking them away and out of the Federation are allowed to leave, though they are exiled from the Federation. As of 1105, the hundreds who remain are those who prefer to live out their lives on this world, though now and then a few children born on this world - not subject to exile - leave to see the stars their parents came from.
If current trends continue, the last of the original prisoners will be dead by 1130, and the last of their descendants are expected to depart - leaving this world depopulated - by 1150.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Esy Unde has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
