Eleusis is a rich world with four small moons. The system is a member of the Imperium and contains a Naval Base. Eleusis is the subsector capital.

Eleusis is an unusual world, fewer than a billion years old and yet possessed of a rich local ecosphere. The world was settled by by the Vilani around -4600 and during the Rule of Man was a popular destination for Terran colonists originating from sub-Saharan Africa.

Government on Eleusis is very unobtrusive, the only serious restrictions being in the area of population control; there are almost no restrictions on weapons. Eleusis has developed an elaborate culture of the sword, and swords, swordplay, and dueling all feature prominently throughout society.

World Starport (St)

Eleusis has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• This world supports an Imperial Naval Base, hosting elements of the 79th Fleet.
