Divine is a rich, nonindustrial water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- It has high-grade living conditions and life on this world is much admired by off-worlders.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Outrange Subsector of Harea Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Divine is a binary star system.
- The primary is a white main sequence.
- The secondary is a red subdwarf.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Divine orbits within the primary star's Habitable Zone.
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Divine is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Divine has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- The world experiences relatively high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Divine has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
- The vast warm oceans are storm-wracked and turbulent.
Satellites:[edit]
Divine retains a relatively close vacuum moon.
- It orbits once every few days.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant aquatic native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Divine gives its name to the Divine Rift, an area of low stellar density.
This world hosts a commercial operations base for the Talokan Trade Authority.
- The facility is guarded by corporate security.
World Starport[edit]
Divine has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Divine has a population of 4 million.
Urbanization[edit]
A few large urban centers are located on large islands.
- Inhabited areas are found on archipelagos across the world.
- Much of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Divine possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
World Government (G)[edit]
Divine has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Military[edit]
Approximately 15,000 personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Divine has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: D (very abundant)
- Labor: 5 (hundreds of thousands)
- Infrastructure: 7 (generally available)
- Efficiency: -2 (below average)
Trade Data[edit]
Importance: +2 (Important)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 8 (discordant)
- Acceptance: 8 (friendly)
- Strangeness: 4 (somewhat distinct)
- Symbols: 6 (somewhat concrete)
