Darksky has only four star systems, and only one of them receives regular interstellar traffic. The world of Glee can be reached quite easily from the Hochiken People's Assembly to trailing, but the other three systems require multiple jumps and deep-space refuelling. This requires more effort than the returns justify. Hochiken ships can occasionally be encountered in Darksky, as can Imperial vessels, but there is no subsector economy.

Darksky, subsector A of Gateway contains four worlds with an estimated population of 3 million, a per capita income of Cr2,666, and a total economy is BCr8. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr3 through 4 starports (0 Class A, 1 Class B, 3 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 415 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 9 and 10). The highest technology level is 11 at Isolation (Gateway 0407).
Darksky, subsector A of Gateway contains five stars and 49 identified planets; three monostellar systems, one binary system, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 3 of the four systems (75%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, no Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, one Poor (Po) world, one Vacuum (Va) world, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
