Starport[edit]
Dis has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is fuel for ships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. The port consists of only a downport - lighterage services are available.
Size[edit]
Dis is a Meso World between 5,700km in diameter. The world has low gravity of 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Dis has a complex daily cycle with average temperatures of 400K but the combination of a slow rotation (110 days), 440 day year and an axial tilt of 83 degrees makes for considerable divergence from this average.
Atmosphere[edit]
Dis has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world. Dis has a pressure of 0.32 atmospheres. The very thin pressures and lack of free oxygen require an Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere is almost always very hot and requires considerable cooling gear to be worn in order to survive.

Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
