Bruno is a preindustrial world.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world hopes to one day be one of the subsector's industrial powerhouses, but hasn't yet realized that dream. The leaders of this world are regularly embarking on trade missions to attract more investment capital, worker-immigrants, and other necessary stepping stones to achieve this goal.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Ikdalon Subsector of Mendan Sector.

World Starport[edit]
Bruno has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The sprawling city of the startown is by far the biggest settlement on the planet. An extensive array of repair facilities are theoretically construction sites for small spacecraft but in practice are ramshackle affairs. The starport was constructed to allow for the transfer of mashella, a valuable mineral. Unfortunately, the exploratory seam that prompted the construction effort played out before initial analyses had been completed. The starport is still used as a staging post for long journeys, the basic level of its amenities offset by cheap costs.
- The city population is primarily Human, Vargr, and Droyne. Nearly all are originally from offworld and many have become stuck here.
World Population (P)[edit]
Bruno has a population of 30,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Demographics[edit]
- Starport City is multi-species. Human, Vargr and Droyne are common.
- Vargr live in low-tech clans spread widely across the southern hemisphere.
- The northern hemisphere supports a proto-sophont species, known as Sarkee.
Linguistic Topography: 1105[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used on this world:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.

- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Vuakedh: A common language among Vargr in the Domain of Antares and adjacent regions.
World Technology Level[edit]
Bruno possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government[edit]
Bruno is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions within the government. These positions are inherited by members of the group or by their relatives. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.
