Lord Brandon Minomoru, Count of Daramm, served as Archduke of the Domain of Gateway from the time of his elevation as the 1st Archduke of 6th Creation of the Archdukes of Gateway in 1076 upon the deposition of the former Archduke, until his death in 1112.

History & Background (Dossier)

Archduke Brandon Minomoru was native to the homeworld of the Luriani minor Human race on Daramm. Brandon was not himself Luriani, but rather was a member of the Verasti Dtareen, a caste derived from Solomani soldiers and administrators dating back to the days of the Rule of Man. Having held the title of Count of Daramm, he was one of the most important liaisons between the Third Imperium and the Luriani people. In this position, he was intimately involved in the social and political crises that wracked the Ley Sector in the early 1070s. While the former Archduke of Gateway promoted policies that alienated the Luriani, the Lord Brandon as the Count of Daramm was a voice for reason and diplomacy. Lord Brandon's efforts were likely the primary reason that the Luriani people remained loyal to the Imperium, despite the actions of the then current Archduke and the inaction of the Imperial Dukes of the region. Fittingly, when the former archduke was deposed by Imperial decree in 1076, Emperor Strephon elevated Count Brandon to the newly vacant Archducal dignity. The new archduke enjoyed extreme popularity within the Domain and received the unqualified support of the Emperor. For the rest of his life, he spent most of his time at home on Daramm or at the Domain capital on Annapabar/Ley. His children, however, he sent to be educated on Capital and introduced into the highest levels of Imperial society and to the Imperial court.

Upon completion of his formal education, Archduke Brandon's heir, Lord Tranian remained on Capital and spent much of his time as a proxy for his parents in the deliberations of the Moot until Archduke Brandon's death in 1112.
