Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Armada is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Armada has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Armada has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Armada (sometimes known by the alternate name of Arhada) is a low-population, poor desert hellworld, non-aligned but considered a protectorate of the Florian League. Armada unofficially controls nearby Adhara (Trojan Reach 0606).

The Armadans, who are of the Arhada culture, are the descendants of a colony that originally settled on a watery moon. Most of the Arhada live on aquatic Adhara or on Hadara, but the most respected families dwell on inhospitable Armada. They have a highly tribal culture, where respect for one's kin and family is the highest virtue.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Armada has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Armada has a population of 20,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

World Demographics[edit]

The Human Arhada culture is found on Armada, Adhara and Hadara, all of which are now protectorates of the Florian League, having agreed to give extremely favourable trading rights to the Florians in exchange for defence.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Armada possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Armada is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.

World Law (L)[edit]

Armada has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
