Hadara is an icy, non-agricultural and preindustrial world, whose surface is ice-capped and with nearly all of its water frozen.

• It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
• It is a world working toward being an industrial powerhouse but lacks an adequate workforce to do so. It must now import many of its manufactured and high tech goods.
• A Prison World, exile camp, or prison camp for criminals or other exiles is located upon this world in addition to other points of interest.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Menorial Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector.

• This world has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships.
• This world has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces.

Mainworld Size (S)

Hadara is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Hadara has a pressure of less than 0.1 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Hadara has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.

History & Background (Dossier)

Though non-aligned, Hadara is close to the border of the Florian League and is considered a League protectorate.

• According to some records, the system contains a Naval Base, a military base, and an exile camp, though official charts omit them. These are unlikely to be maintained by the locals.

Hadara has millions of residents, but lacks sufficient technology or industry to do more than simply maintain the life support equipment of its cities.

World Starport (St)

Hadara has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

• Hadara is usually bypassed by ships capable of refuelling by gas giant skimming. Its rudimentary port thus receives very few visitors.

Hadara has a population of 10,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

World Demographics

The Human Arhada culture is found on Armada, Adhara and Hadara, all of which are now protectorates of the Florian League, having agreed to give extremely favourable trading rights to the Florians in exchange for defence.

Hadara possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.

The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.

World Law (L)

Hadara has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
