Ahoahea is a poor, nonindustrial desert hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often develop intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by Aslan sophonts located in the Iyhaseakh Subsector of Riftspan Reaches Sector.
Description[edit]
The human population here, as on Oyoiy, has been assimilated into Aslan society.
- In fact, these humans are considered members of the Iyoihoikyar and Ukhaliha clans.
- The resultant hybrid society formed by the two races has been a stellar example of race relations.
Stellar Data[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ahoahea sees more traffic from Verge Sector than from other Riftspan Reaches worlds.
The ships that make the run between Ahoahea and the Third Imperium tend to become well-known on the worlds they visit; a new vessel is an oddity and will attract attention, as does major changes to crews.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Ahoahea has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Ahoahea has a population of 2,000,000 sophonts (millions).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
World Languages[edit]
- Anglic
- Trokh: The universal language of the modern Aslan monoculture.
- Aslan Languages: Note that some Aslan clans retain obscure or archaic languages for personal use in addition to Trokh.
World Government (G)[edit]
Ahoahea is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Ahoahea has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Ahoahea possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
New Era[edit]
Word of Virus came from Attus (Verge 0418) a friendly world trailing. This warning enabled the Ahoaheans to prepare with their cousins on Oyoiy (Riftspan Reaches 3121) for an attack. Though there have only been a handful of attempts by Vampire Fleets, casualties have been high. Ships capable of crossing the 4 parsec gulf tend to be more advanced than the defending ships.
The gulf which protects Ahoahea from regular Vampire attacks has also prevented any friendly visits as well. As such, it hasn't had any contact with any worlds besides Oyoiy since the Collapse began.
