Agunkami is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.
As a member of the Gashikan Empire, this world has a Velja. A planet's Velja has veto power over all decisions made by the planetary governments relating to space travel, defense, or interactions with other worlds.
Information and Media[edit]
The Ministry of Information and Safety (MIS) is technically an arm of the imperial Gashikan government, but in many ways it behaves independently. The Ministry's ostensible mission is to prevent the spread of damaging Vargr propaganda, and to promote peace and unity throughout the Empire. To accomplish these goals, its agents maintain careful control of all news and information.
