- It is a military ship and a Heavy Cruiser.
Description (Specifications)
SH70K class Heavy Cruisers are TL–12, streamlined needle/wedge hulls capable of wilderness ocean refueling. They support the battle line and can take advantage of the Sorority class Fleet Tenders to extend their range. They have a meson spinal mounted weapon, and light armor which permits their ability to engage heavier classes of vessels. They stand on the battle line for the Sorority of Hygiea navy.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]

History & Background (Dossier)
The SH70K class Heavy Cruisers, are considered inexpensive in bulk and are capable of wilderness ocean refueling without assistance. They use their meson guns in conjunction with heavy missile batteries to cripple enemy vessels. The size of this main weapon limited their acceleration. The planned 6 G maneuver drives had to be replaced at the last minute by less powerful units, and two fusion reactors were removed from the power plant array. Less powerful secondary weapon batteries are another result of their heavy weapon focus. They do have some surplus armor plating. They have redundant screens and three light fighter squadrons. They feature good range, especially if the Jump-3 drop tanks can be employed. Their cargo capacity allows them to carry more life support and supplies for longer voyages between starport visits.
