History & Background (Dossier)

In prehistory, tectonic shifts created a “land bridge” between two continents, allowing a large number of different -- and frequently dangerous -- species to invade the territory of the proto-Hlanssai species. The resulting evolutionary pressure encouraged flexible, intelligent behaviour, demanding the ability to perceive situations quickly and in detail.

Hlanssai culture had achieved an elegant Bronze Age when the race was first contacted by the Vargr, and the systems they used changed only slightly in the centuries following.

World Starport (Sp)

Vrirhlanz has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
