The Longer Void is an astrographic feature lying across four subsectors located within Astron Sector.
- It is a rift area of low stellar density.
- It is a barrier to interstellar travel.
Description (Specifications)
The Longer Void is an area of lower stellar density lying within the central-spinward region of Astron Sector.
- The region measures around 5 parsecs coreward-rimward by around 11 parsecs spinward-trailing.
- The derivation of the name is unclear: it may simply be that it is longer than other rift regions within the sector.
