Vega, subsector G of the Solomani Rim Sector, is occupied primarily by the Vegan Autonomous District. Most worlds of the District are inhabited predominantly by Vegans (with the exceptions of the high gravity worlds of Shulgiasu, Bellerophon, and Flanders). Vegans cannot tolerate high gravity worlds, although humans find them acceptable.

Vega subsector is also the location of Depot, the Imperial naval depot for the sector.

The Vega subsector contains 28 worlds with a population of 141.6 billion. The highest population is 70 billion, at Muan Gwi. The highest tech level is F at Depot. The subsector capital is at Muan Gwi.

Vega was formerly known as Duusirka (Anglic: Duusirka) subsector to the Vilani of the First Imperium. During that period Vega was the heart of the Imperial Rim Province. Its capital, Shulgiasu, was the local center of Imperial power.
