Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The Yellow Jacket class Q-Ships are converted merchant free traders.

Description (Specifications)

A small amount for reinforced bracing was added to support the hull plates and the engine room was gutted to accommodate the largest maneuver drives and power plants that would fit. The original commercial jump drive was retained, the result is pretty quick and agile. A pair of triple turrets carry a total of four beam lasers and a pair of missile racks. Nuclear tipped ordinance is used to discourage unwelcome visitors.

Basic Ship Characteristics

Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]

These ships are built in small numbers at Keratl/Silver Laurel (Hinterworlds 1730). Some Stalker Yellow Jackets were believed to be built as Q-ships, or as heavily armed merchant ships with concealed weaponry.
