Ritos is a pre-agricultural, rich garden world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts.

  • It is a pre-agricultural world with an environment suitable for large scale agricultural and livestock industries that have not yet been widely developed.
  • This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.

Ceremonia-Ritos System

The primary is Ceremonia, a yellow subgiant star. It has a luminosity of 4.762 Sols, a mass of 2.12 Sols, and a diameter of 4.174 million km. The inner system consists of (II-I) a vacuum inner world, (II-II) a trace atmosphere inner world, (III) a vacuum worldlet, (IV) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (V) a thin atmosphere hospitable world – orbital position (I) is empty. (VI) Ritos orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (VII) a dense stony planetoid belt, (VIII) a large gas giant, (IX-I) a ringed large gas giant, (IX-II) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

History & Background (Dossier)

Ritos is a member of the Protectorate of Leset.

World starport

Ritos has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World technology level

Ritos possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.

World government

Ritos is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
