Invaris is a poor, low-population hellworld with a population less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.

  • Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often develop intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
  • This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Cleft Subsector of Harea Sector.
  • Around 50% of the population is composed of Chacinti.
  • Around 50% of the population is composed of baseline humans.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Invaris is a binary star system.

  • Both are red main sequence stars.
Invaris has two stars in the star system.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport[edit]

Invaris has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population[edit]

Chacinti Minor Race.jpg

Invaris has population of 800 sophonts (hundreds).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.

World Demographics[edit]

Relations between Humans and Chacinti tend to be generally positive.

World Languages[edit]

World Technology Level[edit]

Invaris possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.

World Government[edit]

Invaris is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
