The Basilisk Rift is a Shadow Rift lying within Hollow Sector, Shandara Sector, Range Sector and Tarchon Sector, within the Where The Stars End region of the Empty Stars.
- It is a feature of the Empty Stars.
- It is an astrographic feature and a rift.
Details / Specifications
The Rift has approximate dimensions of around 25 parsecs coreward-rimward and around 120 parsecs spinward-trailing. It dominates the sectors that it crosses.
History
The Basilisk Rift was first charted by ultra-long-range scans performed by vessels from the Last Armada sometime around 2255AD. Its exact position and dimensions were plotted by the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program between 5520AD and 5550AD.
