• Its surface is ice-capped with little or no atmosphere and nearly all of its water frozen.
• It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
• It is a world working toward being an industrial powerhouse but lacks an adequate workforce to do so.
• It is a member of the Worlds of The Leader in the Ras Tennol Subsector of Far Home Sector, which is part of the Distant Fringe.

Lanchen-Urcor System

The primary is Lanchen, an ordinary yellow-white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 1.668 Sols, a mass of 1.092 Sols, and a diameter of 1.536 million km. The inner system consists of (II) a vacuum inner world, and (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world – orbital position (I) is empty. (IV) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world orbits within the habitable zone. (V) Urcor, designated the mainworld, (VI) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (VII) a ringed large gas giant, (VIII-I) a small gas giant, and (VIII-II) a large gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(V) Urcor is designated the mainworld. It orbits Lanchen at a mean distance of 1.74 AU (139.1 million km), within the H+ region of the outer system. It has an orbital period of 2 years 72 days and a rotation period of 78 hours. The axial tilt is 5 degrees. Urcor has a diameter of 6,017 km, a density of 6.05 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.52 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Vacuum. Approximately 14% of the surface is covered in sheets of crystalline water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -85°C.

Urcor retains two natural satellites, a pair of tiny vacuum worldlets named Kusa and Mallion:

(Va) Kusa (UWP YS00000-0, orbiting at 6 Diameters/35,000 km)

There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
