The Zarthurrue Triangle is a triangular trade route, an astrographic feature, located within Knoellighz Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Zarthurrue Triangle refers to a Tech Level graduating, triangular slave trade route in Zarthurre subsector of Knoellighz Sector, along the border to Dhuerorrg Sector.

  • This node of lawless to low-Law trade takes advantage of primitive, pre-spaceflight and pre-stellar worlds' populations, each being sold to the next higher technology bracket for various tasks and jobs.
  • In trade on return to the start of the slave triangle trade, many displacement tons of descending Tech Level products are sold to the source worlds to make room in cargo holds hungry for captured, indentured or lawfully enslaved sophont livestock. Then the cycle begins anew. Oft-times, false advertising is announced, offering new lives in improved environments off-world beyond a source world's means to travel. Many are lured by the chance to board a starship on curiosity alone, only to find themselves in capture collars and in cages.
  • Worlds without Governments and without Law ratings are the choice hunting grounds for slavers. Zarthurrue Subsector is replete with source worlds. Slaves climb the Tech Level ladder and are controlled using the slightly higher technology of their destination worlds. This too cuts down on slaver overhead since they can release the slave stock into bondage typical of that destination. Finally, a world with no Government means there are no taxes upon the slavers after each sale. From Fetch to Sale, slavers have little to fear inside the Zarthurrue Triangle.

Slave Source Worlds: 1116[edit]

  • Slave source/destination worlds by ascending Tech Level:
    • 3238 Khoeroeztukhs D67468D-2 This world's Renaissance primitives are Fetched to be sold to Zaglle despite their high Law rating since most TL 2 primitives cannot last long against interstellar technology. Fetchings from this world are often at the point of a Laser Pistol or Stunner. Since Khoeroeztukhs is a Communistic and very strict on its peasantry, many lords push local miscreants out front to slavers at the point of their swords and crossbows.
    • 3132 Zaglle D947400-3 This world's pre-Industrial primitives are Fetched to be sold to Aekhsoksrraengarrg.
    • 3131 Aekhsoksrraengarrg C728200-5 The Electrical era peoples of this world are to be sold to Zuklluekhsghaks.
    • 3232 Zuklluekhsghaks D687500-6 The top tier of slave source worlds shipped to Geker / Goengsakh, the Democracy of Greats or the Oculus Alignment.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Two polities, the Democracy of Greats and the Oculus Alignment quietly take advantage of the top tier of slaves brought out of the non-aligned worlds to their refineries, factories, brothels, and other low-society theatres of workforce.

  • Very little regulation save by Corsair activity and polity 'immigration' laws slow the Zarthurre Triangle until Hard Times, circa 1120.
  • The Democracy of Greats is slowly creeping from Zarthurre subsector in its Coreward frontier conquest, but its rate is slower than other polities. Since the dregs of society are typically found on the Rimward-Trailing edge of the polities of Knoellighz Sector, little to none of the Navies take notice of the flesh-and-fur trade. Being largely an expansion from Dhuerorrg Sector, the Greats have little care for the lessers settling from Rimward Gvurrdon Sector.
  • Similarly but stationary is the Oculus Alignment's influx of needed slaves to continue their operations on dangerous or failing worlds in their polity. Slowest of the empires of Knoellighz Sector to expand due to poor world choice early in the pioneer days of Zarthurre, the Oculus Alignment is currently content to fuel its industry with lower-Tech slaves that are listed as 'volunteers', a secret lost in the red tape of the needy governments.
  • By default, the Zarthurrue Triangle trade is temporarily halted by the arrival of Virus in the 1130s as slaving ships are usurped by the artificial intelligence turning the vessels into vampire ships. Though the infected vessels do not sell their stock, they do note the source worlds of which to replenish their captured crews of spacer Vargr. This is the primary reason of why Zarthurrue Subsector joins the Wilds.
