Yeeshim is a poor, non-agricultural and nonindustrial hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.

Goort-Yeeshim System[edit]
The primary is Goort, a dim red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0025 Sols, a mass of 0.244 Sols, and a diameter of 334,000 km. (I) Yeeshim, designated the mainworld, (II) a vacuum iceworld, (III) a trace atmosphere iceworld, and (III) a vacuum worldlet make up the outer system. None of the worlds retain satellites.

(I) Yeeshim[edit]
(I) Yeeshim is designated the mainworld. It orbits Goort at a mean distance of 0.22 AU (32.9 million km), within the outer system. It has an orbital period of 76 days 7 hours: it is tidally locked to Goort. The axial tilt is 3 degrees. Yeeshim has a diameter of 6,166 km, a density of 4.78 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.42 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Very Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.23 bar and a composition of 86% nitrogen, 13% oxygen, and 1% argon, water vapour, carbon dioxide, neon and other trace gases. The atmospheric taint is caused by high levels of radiation and the low percentage of atmospheric oxygen. Approximately 17% of the surface is covered in water-ice and lakes of water kept liquid by geothermal heat generated by subsurface radioactives: average tidal ranges are negligible. Mean surface temperature: -87°C. The atmosphere is sedentary and very weak weather systems driven by the star drift around the globe. The climate is static.

Yeeshim has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Three Vernon Powell class System Defense Boats have been recently procured. They are currently forming the basis of the Yeeshim System Defense Patrol (YSDP). Patrol security forces are being recruited and a large shipment of armored vacuum suits and laser carbines have been delivered.
