Ventura is a preindustrial, oceanic water world.
- It is covered with very deep oceans of water with less than 1% of its land above sea level.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 1% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Zodia Colonies, part of the Aslan Hierate, in the Wuieaaw Subsector of Iwahfuah Sector.
- About 80% of the population is composed of humans.
- About 20% of the population is composed of Aslan and other non-human sophonts.

Ventura is known in Trokh as Ouhalyokh. Although within Aslan Hierate space, Ventura is one of the ten Zodia Colonies and populated by biological humans who are culturally Aslan.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Ventura has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- TL-14 components from Staten are utilised in Clan Zodia shipyards at Ventura.

World Government (G)[edit]
Ventura is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Ventura has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
Criminal acts are rare but not unheard of in Aslan society. Crimes are different from the insults or slurs that provoke duels, and are classified into three categories: crimes of passion, crimes with victims, and crimes of honour.
- Crimes of passion involve misbehavior prompted by temper, anger, or provocation. The accused is judged by the head of the family, pride, or clan involved.
- Crimes with victims involve taking money or items of value, or violating the person of another for profit (kidnapping, terrorism, piracy). General practice is to have an impartial earleatrais consider the case and present findings.
- Crimes of honour involve failure to observe the rituals established for social behaviour. Judgement is made by the pride or clan head, depending on the severity of the crime. Crimes of honour are the most serious in Aslan society; in practice, most are never tried as a duel to the death occurs first.

World Culture[edit]
Humans of the Zodia clan place enormous cultural value on their hair. All males grow beards if they can and both genders wear their hair as long as practically possible, baldness being strongly associated with sickness and shame. Realistic wigs and even artificial beards for females are common accessories. Both genders have adopted traditional Aslan clothing, although footwear usually includes subtle lifts to increase height (as Humans are shorter than Aslan).
