Urrllongonu is an agricultural, nonindustrial, pre-rich world with a growing agro-economy, but still lacks an adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world has promising economic future although it needs to recruit a larger labor force in order to achieve the desired prosperity.
- It is a member of the 40th Squadron in the Uthe Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector in the Vargr Extents.
- The 40th squadron is locally known as the Ekhlle Ksafi.
- This world is also known by the human name of Quantar.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
This system is part of a small three-system cluster known as the Urdzu Kane.
Stellar Data[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This heavily defended world is one of the jewels of the 40th Squadron. It is a vital part of the state's civilian economy, although its residents' affinity for Human customs sees them mocked as "monkeys" by some.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Urrllongonu has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Urrllongonu has a population of 300,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- The population almost entirely consists of Vargr.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most widely spoken language is a form of Gvegh. Due to the locals' reverence for the Third Imperium as "high culture", many speak some Anglic or Vilani.
Urbanization[edit]
Local architecture is a blend of Human and Vargr styles, as the current Vargr settlement was built over a swiftly abandoned Human colony.
World Government (G)[edit]
Urrllongonu is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
- The naval officers of the 40th Squadron are the true authority, possessing charisma beyond any planetary leader.
- Oddly, anyone seen to represent the Third Imperium carries great charisma too.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Urrllongonu has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
- The influence of the former Human colony extends to the legal system, where some laws and attitudes are copies or near-copies of older Human ones.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Urrllongonu possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
