The Urpayans of Urpa (Dagudashaag 2505) are a technologically sophisticated Variant Human Race with a humanoid appearance.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

This race is virtually identical to Humaniti save for their pink pigmentation, purple eyes and hair, and their ability to breathe their homeworld's tainted air. Internal anatomy is almost identical to that of Humans except the Urpayans have an extremely efficient filter within their large lungs. An Urpayan leaving their homeworld requires dietary supplements and a breathing apparatus to supply trace gasses -- poisonous to others but vital for their survival.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Urpayans are a mysterious population native to Urpa (Dagudashaag 2505), whose origin was contested for many years. It is now accepted that Urpa was settled during the Rule of Man by the same genetic engineering company that created the Scanians. Urpa wasn't a secret base, but the loss of knowledge during the Long Night ensured that the rediscovered Urpayans were an enigma to the Third Imperium. The only complete record remaining of their origin exists deep within the Urpayan sacred temple, in fact a sealed genetics laboratory.

It is now known that the first Urpayan were created sterile, and in several batches. Before the company responsible left Urpa during the Long Night, a decision was made to make the final generation (who would be staying behind as caretakers) fertile. The result was a new race.
