Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Topography and Geography[edit]
Approximately 50% of the surface is comprised of low salt ocean, while the landmasses are thickly covered with jungle. Refineries have been established to extract the vast petroleum deposits, though large areas in each of the five Climate Zones have been set aside as preserves for indigenous life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This world was one of the three original members of the Mische Conglomerate.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Uaboe has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- This is a shipbuilding centre for the Mische Conglomerate.
World Population (P)[edit]
Uaboe has a population of 10,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The primary language is Galian. Secondary languages include Anglic and Vilani.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Uaboe possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Uaboe is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy, and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.
World Military[edit]
Military forces of the Mische Conglomerate are simply those of individual member words. Joint command protocols do exist for combined operations, and equipment is designed to be interoperable, but the Conglomerate is an alliance, not a state.
World Law (L)[edit]
Uaboe has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Culture[edit]
This world is part of the Mische Conglomerate. The nation's societal organization assigns families to a semi-rigid class system. Family status and class position largely determine a person's place in the Mische corporate structure, though it is possible for someone to rise above their class status by exceptional action or merit.
Trade[edit]
As of 1116, the Mische Conglomerate operated eight 20,000-ton merchant liners on a route between Conglomerate space and the Third Imperium. These ships left Uaboe every 8 weeks. The Mische had a ninth liner under construction at Uaboe.
