Drinax Chain
The Drinax Chain -- called the Tyokh Cluster by many Aslan -- is an astrographic feature located in Trojan Reach Sector.
Description / Specifications[edit]
From the Drinax Chain, a jump-2 vessel can cross to the Torpol Cluster and from there reach the Wildeman Cluster or else head core-spinward to the Sindalian Main. Jump-2 traffic can also cross trailing into the Borderland Cluster, an alternative route to the Wildeman Cluster and Third Imperium space.
Economic Data[edit]
Goods[edit]
Notable commodities traded among the worlds of this cluster include the following:
- Byrni Bread and Beer ("the taste of Old Sindal!"): Made under license by General Development Corporation franchisees. The product line is expanding to include cherry- and sour cherry-based drinks, preserves, smoked meats, wursts and cheeses.
- Byrni-produced linen houseware, shirting and suiting fabrics.
- Expensive hardwoods from Byrni, including varieties of ironwood and cherry.
- Khusai Saow, or 'Khusan Spam': "Special Processed Aslan Meat", ubiquitous on the Chain. Note that Aslan find it highly offensive, regarding it fit only for Human consumption.
- Purple linden wood from Khusai, valued for furniture-making.
- Made from the inner bark of purple linden trees, linden bast makes strong traditional cordage, sacking fabric and durable outerwear.
- Very low density materials from Paal, used for packaging or decorative pieces.
- 'Paalico', a hardwearing cotton, usually brightly-dyed or printed.
- Sperlish Amoeballs and other cheap amoeba-based food products from Sperle.
