The Jaws

An astrographical feature on the border between Arzul Sector and Gn'hk'r Sector.

"The Jaws" are named by local Vargr for the appearance of two great branches of Vargr-held systems poised to "take a bite" out of the K'kree Outpost. This is intended as an obvious insult, even a taunt. Provocative names in the face of hateful K'kree disapproval are one means by which local Vargr affirm racial pride and gain charisma. Sometimes they push it too far, and punitive K'kree raids result.

The existence of local political movements like the "Meat Skull League" works on similar logic.
