Tarsale is a non-agricultural, pre-industrial, moderate population vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions, with over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- Its economy and population are slowly growing and living conditions are expected to improve in the near future barring outside forces.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the The Blight Subsector of Diaspora Sector in the Domain of Sol.
- This world has an Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

History & Background[edit]
Culinary arts using imported foods command high prices and going out to a restaurant for dinner here can be surprisingly expensive, if you want "real food". The ruling elite are often members of special food clubs who host large feasts to demonstrate their power to loyal followers. These are broadcast via the local media outlets and command high ratings. The rich and influential are most affiliated with the merchants and trader classes because imports are so important for this world. The poor only survive with strict rationing. Being obese is a sign of great wealth here. Criminal justice is only available for those who can pay for it and crimes are only investigated if you hire someone to look into it. Private security firms are profitable here and most merchants offload at the tightly controlled highport. Local system defense boats are chartered from the navy, by large companies, to ensure no one interferes with the import/export vessels. Armored shuttles are used to used to bring in shipments with armed escorts as a standard precautionary measure. Lethal counter measures and security robots are a common sight outside the fortified warehouses of the trading guilds.
