The Talokan class Grav APC, TL-13: The vehicle's 67 tons of superdense armor, strains the gav modules and available hull volume. The front of the chassis is radically sloped to increase the armor's effectiveness. This is intended to ensure all aspect, uniform protection equal to or superior to starship hull metal. This design is unsealed and has NO life support for the 8 passengers. They are expected to be wearing their own Battle Dress while serving in a vacuum and protected forces role. A larger fusion power plant is installed to ensure some modest mobility. There is a fully rotating, stabilized turret on the chassis deck for the weapon systems. A dorsal Rapid Pulse Plasma Gun (model RP-B) is equipped with advanced point defense turret and provides over-watch. The embarked squad of infantry exit via a rear loading ramp/hatch.
Basic Vehicle Characteristics
Following the Imperial Army and IISS Universal Vehicle Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the vehicle when applicable. Tonnage on the universal vehicle profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary.
|1.||Tonnage||Total mass loaded: 157.62548 metric tons.
|2.||Crew||Drone Vehicle -2 to hit DM, operates the vehicle and fires the weapons, subject to command over-ride from higher echelon leaders in the chain of command.|
|4.||Electronics||Equipment: TL–13 drone brain, 5,000 power radio, 1,000km maser, extensive ECM, thermal image, image enhancement, 100 power target acquisition RADAR, TL–13 flight avionics, map box, battle computer, full weapon stabilization.|
|5.||Hardpoints||A fully rotating turret mounted on the chassis deck, 2.8m wide, 3m long and 1m tall, with a volume of 8.4m³, +1 high hits. All weapons are fully stabilized to fire on the move.|
|7.||Defenses||laser sensor 3+, 100 bottle of prismatic aerosols
|9.||Fuel||Fuel capacity 1,359.79 liters, the 60 MW fusion power plant consumes 90 liters/hour, it carries enough for 15 hours.|
|10.||Cost||Production Cost: Cr. 11,398,243|
|11.||Construction Time||4 weeks.|
|12.||Comments||It is not equipped with guidance packages for operator guided missiles.|
There is a 100.85kg capacity, magazine fed, tube launcher built into the turret on the chassis deck. Ten very expensive and very powerful DRONE missiles are included in the purchase price. These drones carry 25cm HEAP 59 warheads. They feature two command link communication systems, a 5,000 power radio and 1,000km range MASER. The drones have a +3 DM to hit and 53 turns (~26 minutes) of cruise endurance. They cruise at 200kph/167cm, until the command to attack is given. The 8kg of batteries have storage for 80 megawatt-seconds. The grav modules generate 500kg of thrust, and almost 4Gs of acceleration, which yields and attack speed of 3,364kph/2,803cm. There is no on board storage for additional rounds beyond the ten drones loaded. Some feel the missiles' communication suite is overkill.

History & Background (Dossier)
The Talokan class Grav APC was designed and manufactured at TL–13, these vehicles are manufactured for the Talokan Armed Forces in Mavuzog and Theta Borealis Sectors. They have TL–13 point defense fire control systems for the dorsal Rapid Pulse Plasma gun and a drone missile launcher. The drone vehicles are less accurate, but on such small vehicles the drone brains free up room for 8 fully equipped marines. If suit integrity can not be maintained, the vehicle has no dedicated life support. They usually fight side-by-side with a drone Nu Vese class Grav Tank.
