The TC01 Skull Rider class Light Fighter is a specialized combatant smallcraft.
- It is a military ship and a Light Fighter.
- Its full designation is the TC01a Skull Rider class.
- The name is frequently contracted to "Skrider".
Description (Specifications)[edit]
These are fully streamlined dual environment vehicles. Lifting, variable geometry wings and heavy grav modules make them very maneuverable. They are crippled by pathetic thrust and acceleration. The model 2 computer and the bridge make target acquisition better for missile battery fire. The bridge can not support a fiber optical back up system and larger computers were rejected because of the power drain, which this reactor could not sustain. Fire control is adequate for ground support roles, but this craft is not expected to engage enemy fleet combatants. Power restrictions also lead to the cancellation of a pulse laser installation project. They are wildly unpopular with fighter crews.
The vessel has a fully streamlined conical configuration structure hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and allowing it to perform wilderness ocean refueling.

Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
| No. | Category | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| 1. | Tonnage | 10 tons. |
| 2. | Crew | x1 crew: the flight crew consists of a pilot/gunner who is usually an officer or commissioned specialist there is a small craft bridge with two acceleration couches. There are no staterooms nor lowberths. |
| 3. | Performance | 1-G acceleration, Power plant-1, EP-0.1, Agility-1. |
| 4. | Electronics | Model 2 computer. |

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The TC01 Skull Rider class Light Fighter class is used by the Trooles Confederation. The TC01 Skull Rider class Light Fighter is used to patrol and protect minor fleet combatants. They are deployed aboard vessels from the Trooles Confederation. Examples of the class can be encountered throughout the coreward parts of Theta Borealis Sector.
Class Naming Practice/s:
Vessels of the Trooles Confederation are given alphanumeric designations and callsigns by other interstellar states. TC refers to Trooles Confederation (a designation applied to all Confederation combat units), 01 is a combat smallcraft designation, and when it is used 'a' refers to the version of the vessel, relating to its construction tech level. Type codes will often repeat: 'Skull Rider', often shortened to 'Rider', is an easy to remember class name to identify the specific type of vessel.
- Individual vessels are generally named by their pilots.
