Lorulai is a barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Pozzy Subsector of Theron Sector.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Lorulai has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x3 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Lorulai is a Twilight Zone World.
- In the narrow region between permanent night and permanent day, the primary star eternally hangs on the horizon.
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's colder outer H- region.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Lorulai is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Lorulai has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Lorulai has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The world experiences low temperatures.
- Much of the surface is covered in glaciers, ice, frost, and snow.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
A map of Lorulai, the nominated mainworld of the system, showing major bodies of water, fertile coastal wetlands, major highland regions, the arid outback, and the large polar icecaps.
- Far more detailed maps are available locally.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life, filling every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
