The Lass-lumminm of Lashlaminan (Lishun 0612) are a Minor Non-Human Race with a Non-human appearance. They are technologically competent sophonts.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Lass-lumminm are a low-population species and always have been. They are very long lived (300 years being typical) and have an extremely low rate of reproduction. Lashlaminan lifeforms reproduce only at death; the Lass-lumminm included. The very occasional multiple "births" gradually increase the population.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Vilani contacted the Lass-lumminm 7,000 years ago, but did not think highly of them. Lass-lumminm have long believed the individual to be supreme, and hold that everyone should have the maximum freedom to pursue their desires. The Vilani, for their own protection, marked Lashlaminan as amii (specialist trade only) and thus avoided the world in most cases. This, combined with the low population, has made the Lass-lumminm species' impact on interstellar society a minimal one.
The Third Imperium established a major scout base on Lashlaminan in one of the uninhabited regions, and classified the planet as an amber travel zone.
