The Kafoe are an aggressive and xenophonic minor race.

Kafoe walk upright on their hind legs, grasping tools with long-fingered hands; these possess formidable claws. Their short snout features a pair of extended "saber-tooth" fangs.

History & Background (Dossier)

Lying in the Alpha quadrant of the Crucis Margin Sector, the Kafoe Dominate is the two-world "empire" of the Kafoe, an advanced but enigmatic alien race. The Kafoe are aggressive, and frequently raid the surrounding worlds.

This activity began in 906, and before this there had never been any evidence of the Kafoe. There were records of planetary surveys of Derj and Indang that showed them to be uninhabited, with only old ruins of alien origin. It is unclear whether the Kafoe returned to their old haunts, or are squatting in some other race's ruins.
