Innuit is an agricultural world with the potential to become an industrial power.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import many manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • It is a member of the Corellan League in the Corella Subsector of the Beyond Sector.
  • This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Innuit is a Big World between 16,800km and 18,400km in diameter. The world has a high gravity between 1.5G and 1.9G. The horizon will appear about 6km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should not land on this world. Vessels with 2G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

  • A high gravity acclimatisation course, consisting of a regimen of physical exercise in gradually increased gravity, and lasting some two or three weeks, is recommended before a Traveller operates on Innuit. Many starlines operating services to this world offer such courses.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Innuit has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. While a Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Innuit has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Innuit was first settled by Humans in -592.

World Starport[edit]

Innuit has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The common language is "Corellan Galanglic", a distinct dialect of Anglic.
