Iniquiti is a poor, non-agricultural, and nonindustrial desert hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.

  • Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often develop intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
  • This world has no free-standing water.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
  • It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
  • This world has few prospects for significant economic development. The inhabitants of this world lead a bleak existence.
  • It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Asphodel Subsector of Neworld Sector.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Iniquiti is a binary star system.

  • The primary is a Iniquiti main sequence.
  • The secondary is a red main sequence.
Iniquiti has two stars in the star system.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Iniquiti is small-sized Hellworld. It has a very thin atmosphere, tainted by Radon and Xenon gases. Very little water exists, and then it is subterranean deposits near the poles.

Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]

Iniquiti has a very active core which results in very dynamic plate tectonics. Vulcanism and earthquakes are common. The creation of "new mountains" occurs on an almost yearly basis. Older mountains can detonate by its internal caldera suddenly filling up, resulting in 100kt detonations. Preventative geology literally is saving lives here.

World Starport[edit]

Iniquiti has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Iniquiti Highport is a newer, good quality station with considerable capacity.

Iniquiti-2 Downport is located on an older, geologically stable plateau. The original Iniquiti Downport was destroyed by an unexpected volcanic event.

Iniquiti-3 Downport exists, and operates as a Class-D facility.

Iniquiti-4 Downport site has been identified, and is being further evaluated by Geoteam-2. It may be considered Class-E.

Current coordinates have been included in Appendix-A.

World Technology Level[edit]

Iniquiti possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government[edit]

Iniquiti is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to draft the policies voted upon. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by the voting population.

World Law Level[edit]

Iniquiti has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]

This world has a wealth of minerals easily accessible at the surface.

Scout note: I have physically seen a vein of Gold metal crossing the open ground. Further examples are documented in Appendix R.

Trade Data[edit]

World Demographics[edit]

Humaniti 100%. Population 2M.

World Culture[edit]

Iniquiti operates as a conservation culture, much the same as a vacuum world. Water and Oxygen are sensitive materials. In addition, constant vigilance against geologic dangers means regular drills, safety exercises, and maintenance of emergency vehicle readiness and evacuation supplies. The general attitude takes these actions deadly seriously, even with the very young. The count of lost cities keeps it fresh in the public eye, and everyone knows someone who was lost.

World Language/s[edit]

Anglic

Urbanization[edit]

Urban centers are of moderate size and widely spaced. Constructions have a large underground component, and involve thick walls of reinforced ceramics and sealed concretes.

Transportation is by individual vehicles of varying sizes, with little to no constructed public transportation.

Power systems are a mix of clearly imported fusion units and molten salt fission reactors. Some outlying settlements make use of geothermal sources.
