Hata is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Taakas Yh'Drak in the Tunkhika Subsector of Ghoekhnael Sector.
- This world-system has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world. It supports a contingent of the Ash Traknar (equivalent to Marines).
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Hata is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Hata has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. While a Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Hata has 85-95% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few small continents, and a number of islands and archipelagos. Dry land is limited. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]
Native Lifeforms[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This is one of the earliest and most important colonies of the Drakarans, and is known for its piety as regards normal Drakaran religious practice.
World Starport[edit]
Hata has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Hata has a population of 5,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Demographics[edit]
The population is 100% Drakaran.
World Languages[edit]
The common language is N'Toz.
Urbanization[edit]
Cities tend to be large and sprawling. The Drakaran dislike underground buildings, and except for storage areas few exist.
Cities are laid out in geometric patterns, a function of the race's obsession with order and harmony -- even more pronounced on this highly religious world. Large ranching regions are always nearby, to provide food animals, particularly during The Stalking, a Drakaran predatory phase.
World Technology Level[edit]
Hata possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government[edit]
Hata is governed by a Religious Dictatorship. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy). There is a powerful independent organization, the state religion, which has influence or direct control of the government. Like the bureaucratic governments this may simply be a strong influence with a secular government, be direct influence by virtue of controlling who may be in the leadership, or be a direct theocracy where the church leadership and bureaucracy is the government.
The dominant political entity is a coalition of the world's great clans, the Vhadrakis-Oon.
World Law Level[edit]

World Military[edit]
This world supports an Ash Traknar military base. Its personnel mainly consist of forces from the home system, supplemented by "colonial ranger" forces recruited from contingents provided by lesser clans that have settled on this world.
World Economy[edit]
Drakaran society is essentially an aristocracy in which the wealthiest land-owning families control industry and business. Land, wealth and political power are seen as inseparable.
