N'Toz

N'Toz is the common language of the Drakaran race, who are more properly known as the Drak Ne'Vah. It is spoken in the Taakas Yh'Drak (Chit Botshti Sector and Ghoekhnael Sector).

The modern Drak Ne'Vah speak a single dominant language, although some archaic languages do still exist. With the Drakarans an increasingly important trade partner of Zhodani and Vargr concerns, knowledge and use of the language is growing.

The word N'Toz is a corruption of "Neh'Toz", a historically important Drakaran civilization from which the current clan system owes lineage.

• Ashket Vhadrakis Oom: "Military council of the great clans". The closest thing to a Drakaran interstellar government

• Ashket: "Military", an adjective, a categorization. Shortened to Ash.

• Drak: "The race" or "of the race", a word for an individual within the species and for concepts relating to the self-identity of the species.

• Ikashi: A significant figure of wealth -- about 20 million credits -- in land and income

• Kas'Drak: "Mother of the Race"; the common name for the Drakaran homeworld (known as Odye to Vargr)

• Vhadrakis: Great clans, defined as a clan that has a number of lesser clans as clients.

• Vhadrakis-Oom: "Council of the great clans". A coalition of families making up the government of a given world.

• Vr'tahk: A mythical creature, a predator that hid from sight, "snake in the grass". A class of Drakaran military ship is named for this monster.

• Vrai: "Lord" or "Lady", an honorific for members of families that are included in the Lumog.
