Gimushi has a comfortably breathable atmosphere. The system has a population between 1 and 10 billion sophonts. Government control of this world is by an external military force. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Gimushi Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector and in the Domain of Antares. Gimushi, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet, and the fiefdom of a count. All three are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. Less than 10% of the world's population is the Minor Race Bwap.

History and Background

Gimushi was one of the Twin Pillars of Heaven during the First Imperium, acting as the agricultural breadbasket for the sector. Gimushi successfully repulsed two ground invasions (A.D. 2790, 2807 or -1730, -1713 Imperial) during the Vargr Pillaging, but at great cost. The Vargr leadership knew that they would never truly own the sector unless they took down the Twins of Heaven. Gimushi’s government, never part of the Glorious Twelve, was willing to accept Vargr rule.

Gimushi acts as the cultural centre for a few nearby Vilani systems. Interestingly there are more Bwap on Gimushi than in many Bwap-dominated systems, thanks to the humid climate and successful civil service government.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility

Gimushi, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the estate and fiefdom of two members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
