The rank of Flight Leader (O3) is the commissioned officer rank in the Imperial Army COACC.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The rank of Flight Leader (O3) is the commissioned officer rank in the Imperial Army COACC that is second in command of a Spaceship, or commander of a Flight of 3-5 Aircraft/Gravcraft or ground elements or has duties of similar importance. When the rank is used for Staff positions, the term Staff Lieutenant is used instead.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army Ground Force Command (GFC) is Captain.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army Nautical Force Command (NFC) is Lieutenant.

The term Flight Leader indicates that the person holding the rank is the leader of a Flight. It derives its name from the old Solomani rank of "Flight Lieutenant".
