Firstspeak (language)

Firstspeak, or Primary Anglic, is an interlingua created by Solomani Party linguists to bridge the gap between the many divergent local dialects of Anglic and other language descendants that have evolved in Solomani space since the time of the Terran Confederation.

Firstspeak is a simplified hybrid of Anglic and gesture that is easily learned apart from formal training or education, and is widely used by merchants, travellers, and starport personnel within the Solomani Confederation. Firstspeak is also commonly taught to uplifted races, and many sophonts within Confederation space use it as an interlingua.
