Fafi has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Fafi has a population of 20,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

World Government (G)

Fafi has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. A colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.

Governance of this world is from Anubis.

World Law (L)

Fafi has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

• There are two court systems in use.
  • The first is for business owners, free persons, and the rich and powerful. This system operates as a deliberative body and assesses penalties, mostly in the form of economic redress.
  • The second is for the working class. This system is abrupt, arbitrary, and usually issues corporal or capital punishment as sentences. It was adopted in part from Ral Ranta justice systems.
  • An alternative dispute settlement system for business owners and the rich exists in the practice of duelling adopted from the Ral Ranta. This is a legal option for persons in the upper classes of society. The working class cannot use it.

World Technology Level (TL)

Fafi possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.

• Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
• Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fission power generation, advanced water and wind generation of electricity.
• Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
  • Land: Improved automobiles, early ATV's, and dedicated AFV's.
  • Water: Amphibious vehicles, improved submersibles, and early SCUBA gear.
  • Air: Early jet aircraft and rotorcraft VTOL's.
  • Space: Early unmanned rocket delivery systems and early manned orbital rockets.

Economy

The internal currency of the Anubian Trade Coalition is the Florin. It trades at about 5 to 1 with the Imperial credit.

Anubians and the ATC view corporations poorly. Their belief is that one takes a direct part in ownership of a company either as a proprietor or as a partner.

World Culture

Anubian society is heavily stratified and class oriented. Social mobility is limited. Most aspects of life in the Coalition are either an experience of privilege for the top classes of society, or heavy-handed repression and toil for the lower working classes.
