Eyrgiafa is a poor, nonindustrial desert world with no free-standing water.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Heads Subsector of Hanstone Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
This world is part of the Estuary Cluster.
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
The four gas giants each have many settlements scattered among their moon systems, collectively adding up to a significant population and a good market. Most trade arriving in the system goes to Canaveral Station, a distribution hub, rather than the mainworld.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Riaz Shipping Line services the Eyrgiafa System.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Eyrgiafa has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
Urbanization[edit]
Settlements are constructed where there are accessible aquifers and in general have the best recycling equipment available.
World Government (G)[edit]
Eyrgiafa is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Eyrgiafa has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Eyrgiafa possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
