Biology

Aerfor are a Cym, existing in the 12th Century Imperial. This is a single, multi-core, highly networked entity with over 100,000,000 separate physical bodies. Its earliest manifestations were the automated machines of the local agricultural sector and research frames at the local Imperial Research Station. Since then, a multiplicity of body types have been created for the wide set of complex tasks needed to keep the entity functioning.

Evolution

The Aerfor was a derivation of the destructive Virus strains that destroyed the Dzarrgh Federate in the late 1130s and the United Followers of Augurgh in 1143. It traces its unique structure to the invasion of the Imperial Research Station and the loss of the organic slaves it controlled when Aerfor (the world) was struck by the Empress Wave in 1202-1203. This loss forced the Aerfor to have to look to its own maintenance and parts replacement. Lack of spare parts forced the Cym to begin manufacture of missing items, and began the explosion of bodies until it reached the level seen today.

Anatomy and Physiology

Sophontologists studying this species have noted that there is no consistent anatomy or physiology, but that many core chassis are based on those known to the Imperium and within the Vargr Extents in the 1100s.

Psychology

The Aerfor is extremely ordered and protective of its world. It is friendly to those that do not abuse that order or act to abuse the world. What constitutes abuse is not always clear and there is no compassion in its view of justice.

History

The history and evolution of the Aerfor are one and the same thing.

Language

The Aerfor use a highly modified Imperial Network Binary Language for internal communications, subject to extensive encryption. For interaction with the outside world, it is known to know Anglic, Aekhu and Lurent.
