Aeo is an agricultural, nonindustrial, and very rich garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world. However, a rich world like this one can afford the cost of importation.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to incrementally rise barring outside forces. The world will grow even quicker when its industrial sector begins to develop.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- It is a member of the Infinity League in the Khuzedhoth Subsector of Knoellighz Sector in the Vargr Extents.
- This world was colonized by and is controlled from Duelunogoerrzuez.
Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
No information yet available.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Vargr inhabitants on Aeo are hardened by its 1.25 surface gravity, with increased Endurance and Strength. The mainworld's diameter is larger than that of Terra, measured at 14,451km.
The pristine atmosphere is a gentle one, hovering at a stable 0.80 to 1.1 atmospheric pressure. With such a reduced pressure range, storms are gentler than otherwise expected. The most powerful hurricanes are just above tropical storms and are limited to the tropics only.
Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]
There is a single continent with a wide continental shelf sporting photic zone ecologies, including a bioluminescent coral that glows at night, illuminating the darkened reef environment. Marine biologists have yet to successfully transplant the coral to controlled tanks or aquariums. Fishing of deep-sea schools by wooden schooners keeps safe the ecologies of the shelf environs.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background / Dossier[edit]
Aeo, despite its low Tech Level, is one of the Infinity League's most prestigious worlds for its Agricultural and Rich trade codes. Its long-term potential is still projected as hopeful.
The Colony Government is headquartered at the Downport and has subordinate offices at rail terminal stations connected by telegraph lines stretching along the railroads. Owned by Ragerzesu as an experimental resource world, Aeo is an attempt to compare low technology agrarian and resource procurement against Stellar technology (Egang) and Industrial Age technology (Dzourzzo). The Infinity League hopes to learn how to optimize all three brackets of technology.
World Starport[edit]
Aeo (Kn 1036) has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The Downport has limited visitation visas for paying tourists wishing to travel to Aeo and enjoy the gentle planetary characteristics and pristine vistas. Sports and other attractions are by law kept tech-appropriate to the mainworld.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
Gvegh is the Vargr language spoken in the Infinity League, a carryover from settlers originating in Gvurrdon Sector. Many well-educated or corporate Vargr of the League also speak the Zhodani language Zdetl and touch upon Vuakedh when needed.
World Technology Level[edit]
Aeo (Kn 1036) possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
- Though the average Tech Level of the mainworld is a primitive 3, held there purposefully to keep citizens on task and without means of endangering the planet ecosystems, steam power and early railroads connect settlements to the League-backed C-class Downport. Muskets and ball cannons are the main weapons of the wooden sailing vessels and infantry of the military. The average citizen can still be counted on carrying at least a Blade; otherwise they default to Infighting. Schools for the Vargr natural weaponry style can be found at rail terminus and the low-tech Startown.
World Government[edit]
Aeo (Kn 1036) has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
- Aeo is a colony world of the Infinity League.
World Law Level[edit]
Due to large, territorial grazer beasts sporting long quills for defense and a propensity for charging Vargr trespassers, the Law rating of this Colony world has stabilized at 8, yet allows the average citizen the means of defending themselves against the raging thunderquill brutes. This world may initially seem to have a lower Law rating were it not for more extreme proscription of psionics, high-tech medicines, and computer-based media, plus landings being limited solely to the Downport for business. Aeo, after 1116, is one of the more vocal anti-Zhodani psionics lobbyist worlds once the polity learns of Zhodani Consulate interference with their mental institutions (and suspected manipulations upon the Infinity League). Possession of psionics is not banned outright, but all technology -- especially Zhodani-make -- is strictly and violently forbidden. Psionics use is illegal except in emergent situations where lives are at stake. Psions such as Vargr Wild Talents cropping up take special oaths similar to the Hippocratic Oath to assuage the local hatred and hide their Talents save for dire need. Instruction of psionics is declared anathema and suspect of Zhodani tainting.

World Economy[edit]
Three planetoid belts are claimed by Ragerzesu mining corporations even as they refrain from prospecting the mainworld due to the colony charter. Belters can be found refueling at the system's two Gas Giants, one of which has extensive and brilliant ice rings that give off refractive, spectral rainbows when struck by the system's solar primary at certain angles. Ragerzesu mining ops feature a refining, orbital platform that exports directly out-system; taxes for such are based on Ragerzesu government mandates.

Historical Data[edit]
Three million Vargr settled Aeo as the Infinity League expanded Coreward. Knowing that their advance settlements lacked support from the greater polity of the time, the colonists from Ragerzesu (Knoellighz 1038) built the C-rated Downport with future visits from the stars in mind. Then the colonists began expansion over the surface in large packs, to settle specific terrains with particular goals in mind for the attention of the League's later surveys. It was long-term investment thinking that later bore fruit, as Aeo joined the Agricultural Faction of the League under Egang (Knoellighz 1034) and Dzourzzo (Knoellighz 1035).

Rebellion Era: 1116[edit]
It is after this year that the Infinity League suffers protests against Zhodani-taught psionics, psionic technologies sold to the polity and institutions where Zhodani 'taint' is believed to be manipulating the three offices of government. Aeo is one of these lobbyist worlds.
Hard Times Era: 1120[edit]
Aeo does not overly suffer much from degradation of technology and weathers the times well. It manages to keep open its C-rated Starport to many vessels in need of trade for sustenance such as thunderquill meat, deep-sea fish, fruits and vegetable crops.
