5717th Imperial Marine Regiment

The 5717th Imperial Marine Regiment was a Regiment sized unit of the Third Imperium and was part of the Imperial Marines.

Description (Specifications)

An Imperial Marine Regiment of fearsome reputation, based with 193rd Fleet as it's reaction force, that fought both inside and outside the Imperium for 150 years. Deployed piecemeal against the Ihatei invasions and the anti-Vargr campaigns during the Abandonment, the regiment effectively ceased to exist at that time.

The 5717th Imperial Marine Regiment was deployed under 193rd Fleet

On call as potential reinforcements for the Fifth Frontier War this Regiment was never deployed to the Spinward Marches Sector

The start of the Second Civil War saw the Regiment called as reinforcements for defence of Trin's Veil Subsector and units were sent piecemeal.

At the formation of the Regency, the Regiment was a unit in name only - its battalions scattered across the Domain of Deneb and it was decided that this would be reformed. As the 21st Regency Marine Line Regiment it was to start recruitment in the Gulf Subsector, and while it was used instead as the core of that Regiment, it formed in the Trin's Shroud Subsector with 207th Fleet instead. It was succeeded in the 193rd Fleet (now renamed to the 303rd Fleet) by the 26th Regency Marine Line Regiment.
