Subsector Map: Below is a map by subsectors of allegiances, using the two-letter codes from the data files.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This data was created to support the IISS and gives a rough, but usable set of allegiance data. The Merchant Service has also made the data available.
Primary Subsector Allegiance Map[edit]
Client States are treated as having their patron's allegiance; it may be described as a map of spheres of influence.
- Subsector allegiance is determined by the allegiance with the most planets in that subsector.
- "??" indicates that the sector is not in the database used (which concentrates on sectors with some canonical information known), but is a majority of the allegiance with the same color.
Subsector Trade Mapping[edit]
Below is a version of the above that only counts planets involved in trade (including those used as intermediate jump points), according to the GURPS Traveller: Far Trader rules.
Alternate Subsector Trade Mapping[edit]
Below is a version of the above that only counts planets linked via trade with the rest of known space (not including planets used only as intermediate jump points).
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Office of the Emperor, the Imperial Bureaucracy, the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service, the Travellers' Aid Society, the Merchant Service, the Educational Institutes, and many other interstellar organizations use this data for governance, interstellar economy, world surveys, and other necessary tasks.
Such data drives Charted Space.
