The Sirius Gap was a small but strategically important Void in the Solomani Rim Sector now bridged by the Sirius Gap Jump Bridge.

  • It is a micro-rift that is traversed by many using a jump bridge.

Description (Specifications)

Sirius (Solomani Rim 1629) sits between the old Terran colony at Fenris (Solomani Rim 1830) and the cluster of worlds centered on Shulimik (Solomani Rim 1530).

  • As Sirius is an asteroid belt system without gas giants or any other natural source of fuel, bypassing Sirius requires a jump-3 ship or better.

History & Background (Dossier)

In ancient times, there was no way for ships to refuel in the Sirius system, so passing between Fenris and Shulimik or Markhashi (Solomani Rim 1529) required considerable logistical planning.

  • This fact was of strategic significance during the Interstellar Wars, and again during the Long Night.
  • During the Iilike-Sirius War a vital refueling station in Sirius was destroyed.
  • Today, the Sirius Gap has once again been “filled in” by a new complex of refueling stations at the Sirius Belt, a functional jump bridge.
