Description / Astrography & Planetology
This system is located more than 150 parsecs rimward from the Hive Federation and the Solomani Confederation, in a sector which is mostly unaffected by those distant interstellar super-polities.
Stellar Data
This is a monostellar system with a yellow-white sub-giant primary star (spectral class F3, category IV). The habitable zone is somewhat far from the star, and the mainworld takes more than 1200 standard days to complete its annual orbit.

Approximately 10% of this planet is covered with seas and bodies of water; most of the surface is arid and dry. Wilderness refueling in the small lakes and seas may be impractical, and it could be easier to skim the gas giants elsewhere in this system rather than attempt to utilize the limited waters of the mainworld.

History & Background / Dossier
The Asura are a Human culture of Terran descent. They are a matriarchal society.
Approximately twenty-eight hundred years ago, as the Rule of Man was hitting its stride, a handful of ships left the Terran Empire, and proceeded rimward in hopes of finding a habitable planet to colonize.
They eventually settled on a cold world (think northern Scandinavia). The environment was tough, but workable with some genetic manipulation, i.e. introduction and production of natural chemicals that provided protection against the extreme cold. The result was a natural anti-freeze that was produced by the Human body, and provided a much needed tolerance for the local environment. A consequence, of course, was a much lessened tolerance for heat! ('Room' temperature will see an Asuran sweating like a proverbial pig!)
These modifications were successful, though there are levels of success. As the mods took effect, more and more of the population began to take on a very pronounced 'blue' skin tone.
World Starport
Asura has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- This starport is located near the capital of the planet, Copenhagen.
- Also on planet are two large spaceports, that handle the inter-system traffic/trade. Both are high quality installations.

Asura governs a colony in the Chemosh system (Phlange 1017), where there is an asteroid belt being actively explored and exploited for its mineral resources; Chemosh is a Red Zone which Asura strictly monitors in order to keep all of these resources under its control. Chemosh is also used as a Penal Colony.
World Law Level
Asura has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Culture
This is a matriarchal society. Asura Prime's population is heavily skewed to 72-75% female. This is due to a prevalence of female births that began over 500yrs in the past. The government does not entertain outside research into this phenomenon, and will actively discourage related research of all kinds.
Polygamy was law, with recognized marriages between a minimum of 1Male and 3Females. This law was enacted as a device to increase the population of Asura prime, but was suddenly rescinded in the recent past. This has resulted in an influx of 'Pink' skinned single males, and a developing market for male-order-husbands.
Pragmatism is second nature to the majority of citizens, though as in dealing with any human population, exceptions do exist.
