History & Background (Dossier)
The settlements on Gougeste were constructed in the 890s by Arkesh Spacers; three pressure domes built to provide a comfortable living environment for the Arkesh employees.
In the 1100s, profits from secret exchange with the Sheol were enormous, but in 1107 the operation was interrupted by the Fifth Frontier War. It resumed in 1111, but by then Arkesh was pushing its luck too far. Moreover, the company was under scrutiny for other, unrelated activities, and the quantity of product that was arriving had begun to attract attention.
